Vikos Gorge: the world’s deepest gorge

Go trekking through the world’s deepest gorge according to the Guinness World Records, Vikos. Under the shadow of Viko’s steep cliffs this 6-7 hour trek along the banks of one of Voidomatis tributaries takes us to the springs of the river. An amazing trekking experience, definitely one of the highlights in the area of Zagori.

This breathtaking gorge is located  in northwest Greece, surrounded by massive rounded cliffs and craggy walls in light grey and orange-yellow, plummeting to 2,950 feet at one point while spanning 3,600 feet from rim to rim, a depth 82% of its width

Important tips

  • Travel Bite date and/or time might be modified or cancelled due to weather conditions and in this event the option of an alternative date or full refund will be given.
  • Running/trekking shoes and comfortable training clothing is required for all activities. For river rafting and river trekking travelers are advised to carry waterproof shoes.
