The National Park of Tzoumerka, Peristeri and the Arachthos Canyon is an open terrain district of around 900m2 stretching out over the sloping segments of Ioannina, Arta and Trikala.

The National Park has four diverse environmentally protected zones, with the aim of protecting and preserving the natural environment and ensuring the proper management of any human activity.

This is the principle upon which the The National Park was established: to protect and preserve  Tzoumerka (Athamanikos Range), of Peristeri (Lakmos Range), the gorge of the Arachthos River and every one of the areas in the middle of, which are described by their unique flora and fauna.

Specifically, the point is the safeguarding and legitimate upkeep of these unique locations and their flourishing flora, in addition with establishing appropriate methods and measures to guarantee the amicable coexistence of man and nature.

The more extensive area of Tzoumerka and Lakmos are a unique alternative destination for the all ages , where visitors will appreciate exceptional scenes of solitary magnificence and natural noteworthiness, and can meander in a place that speaks to country Greece at its most dazzling, with its endless waterfalls, its hollows, crevasses and gulches.
